Heatwave.
Is it hot in here, or is it just me? ;-)
It’s been hot and muggy and sticky here in Chicago the last couple weeks and I’d be lying if I said I was enjoying it. I’ve been having AC troubles at my apartment so I’ve been in a perpetual state of too-hotness. But I’ve been enjoying taking respite in little moments wherever I can find them—a dip in the lake at dusk, a cold library, a beautiful bar with good company and something chilled to sip on. I’ve been quiet on social media the past few weeks because my calendar has been so full of goodness that I can’t seem to bear being on my screens any longer than I have to.
I graduated yesterday! I finally completed my main undergrad program this week, after a long decade of switching back and forth between being in school and taking handfuls of years off at a time to tend to family and friends and self and life. (Obligatory wishlist drop, updated with cold treats and coveted texts and charming vintage garments.) So now, I’m properly ready to start my grad program in a couple of months. In the meantime, I’m beginning to work in my chosen field, which is exciting and nerve-wracking and everything in between. But mostly just good and juicy and a whole lot of fun.
Here are my upcoming July travels (and the rest of June, too):
JUNE
Atlanta: June 22-23
San Francisco: June 27-30 (I have time for one more date!)
JULY
Milwaukee: July 11-12
New York City: July 21-23
San Francisco: July 27-30 (dates flexible)
And here in Chicago all other dates.
All tour dates subject to change based on pre-bookings, as usual—I’m always willing to make scheduling exceptions or rearrangements for extended dates (locally or otherwise) whenever my time allows, so feel free to reach out if you have a date in mind that’s not listed here.
Here’s to braving the heat together.
